So I thought I’d offer something a little different for the next few days and wanted to share a card and stone reading to help give guidance for the day.
Today’s card, the Sacral Chakra, is all about fiery energy, creativity, and passion. Ruby emphasizes that concept, sparking vitality vigor to life. It helps to improve motivation and the setting of realistic goals.
I don’t know about you, but this definitely hits the spot for me personally. I told one of my colleagues just this morning that I’ve been dawdling on a lot of projects and things on my to-do list – lagging on paperwork for a job, not committing to my yoga and writing practice, not putting in more effort towards getting my name out there in the healing world…
Then again, I’ve been preoccupied, cleaning and clearing away belongings and a lot of stagnant, heavy energy in the family den and helping others with their emotional and energetic needs. Honestly, I think I’ve needed the withdrawing to find my focus again. It certainly feels that way at least and I know it’s hard when I’ve been kicking myself to just get my gear going. The work won’t stop (or even start) if I don’t keep going. It just keeps nagging and nagging in my head, which we know isn’t very useful either.
So how to balance the need to recuperate and the need to keep going? Sounds like it’s time to take a short break and go walk outside, to move, to breathe the fresh air in the beautiful spring weather we’re enjoying here in the bay area now.
Alternately, it’s time to put on some music and dance around for a bit, singing along to the words without a care for the world. Don’t mind the family members or pets who give you a silly look. Invite them to join along.
I’d mention writing and journaling, but then again, that’s one of the things I’ve been slacking on lately again so maybe I’ll stick with either of the first two.
What keeps you going when you’re stuck in a lower place and want to move on? I’d love to hear.
