Growing up, there was always music playing in the background, something I took for granted until I moved out on my own and realized I was often missing music because I never could remember to simply turn up the speakers. Despite that, I know that there are a few things that can instantly change my mood and music truly is one of them.
Shungite is a grounding stone that helps bring one to life. It does so by cleansing and clearing your space and field and water even, if you use it as part of an elixir, thereby helping to restore you to your brightest and best potential. Certain sounds or tunes can do that as well, and it’s important for you to return to that self as often as you are able, however way you need to accomplish that. The world needs you at your best, maybe now even more so than ever with all that chaos going on around now.
The gifts I have received from having music in my life are innumerable. No matter how I feel, there has always been a soundtrack, a piece, a work that could match it, or change it if I wanted. Pay attention the next time you have something playing on in the background and see what messages you get.
On a different note now, seven years ago, my dad ended his fight against pancreatic cancer. In honor of his memory, I want to thank him for introducing me to the rich, complex world that is classical music. I didn’t care for it much growing up, but have since come around to appreciating it more and more. Thank you, thank you. I’ll be singing Brahms’ Requiem in your honor again this March.
