You and I are lucky – chances are that you have access to food, whether that means you have some stocked up in your kitchen or pantry, or have the resources to obtain food from the grocery store or at a restaurant. Being able to fulfill this basic need of feeding ourselves allows us to focus our mind and attention to other things, other activities that, while fulfilling to us, may be considered more of a luxury to others.
Moonstone may be an interesting crystal to come up today, but part of its properties are to work with inspiration and conception, both of which are needed to help in our global fight to end hunger. Let’s face it – our world’s sustainable farmers need a lot more support than what they’re getting right now and the world in general needs a lot of healing to re-balance itself in order to sustain us and the rest of the planet. Take a moment with me here now to settle in your seat, close your eyes, and imagine the milky white light energy of Moonstone surrounding the planet and then bathing the planet. See that light seeping down into the earth deeper and deeper to help it re-balance itself and gain an extra bit of love from you and I. Do this as often as you wish – it’ll be interesting to see what ripple effect that will create if we can connect more with the earth like this.
And in the meantime, let’s do our part to end hunger in our own communities. It starts with being more mindful of what you purchase at the store or at the restaurant. Eat what you can and rather than discard the rest, see if you can exchange with or give someone else your unused items. When I lived remotely, my neighbors and I would exchange stuff if we needed to in a pinch, considering the nearest market was an hour’s drive away. Think outside the box on this one, or consider helping organizations like The Hunger Project or Stop Hunger Now out. Remember, every little bit helps.
