Do you know the saying, “how you do one thing is how you do everything”? For example, perhaps you know someone who takes really good care of their car. It’s always clean and free of clutter. That attention to detail is likely found in other areas of that person’s life, generally speaking so you could anticipate that their house is likely under good control, their work space is organized, and mentally, they are pretty with it.
Or take the person who is rude to the waiter at a restaurant. That same criticism and judgement they give someone who is there serving him is likely to show up in how he views what goes on at home and at work.
After May’s dedication and focus toward being more mindful, how do you find yourself showing up and experiencing the world? Were you able to find yourself simply being present more? It’s not an easy practice, is it? Keep practicing and know that it’ll come easier for you to slip into those moments of simple awareness.
For June, the message is to build that mindfulness practice and begin generating more of what you want in your life. For this month, we’ll focus specifically on joy and intuition. Why the two? Well, you know deep down what makes you happy and leaves you feeling fulfilled. In creating more joy in your life, you tap into your intuitive side. On the other hand, using your intuition more will help you lead a more joyful life so the two really go hand in hand.
For this month and particularly the next few days, the goal is to begin practicing more self care. As you would nurture a young child in its development with love and understanding, so to you choose to nurture and care for yourself. This is Pink Opal’s energy for you, gently wrapping a warm, loving embrace around you as you move forward this month. Peppermint oil comes in too as an example of indulgence. Be it a chocolate mint treat or a massage or simply turning off your phone for ten minutes so you’re not being bombarded by incoming messages and calls, do what you need to do each and every day this week to take care of you. Choose to take care of you first this week by seeking out what makes you feel good and happy and see how those little shifts add up over time toward your well-being.
