At first, today’s reading seems a bit contradictory. After all, how can one celebrate achievement in the face of discontent and boredom? Let’s look at the stones first.
Calcite itself is a powerful amplifier and energy cleanser and acts to facilitate higher development and growth. Its connection to the Foundations and Achievements card seems logical – what has been cleared and cleansed away will reveal and manifest the goal or desire for whatever you’ve been working towards. You’ll reach that rainbow, so to speak. Blue calcite specifically is great for recuperation and relaxation – I take that as see what you’ve achieved and celebrate the endpoint. It’s blue color is very calm and soothing, which tells me that this Truth that is being communicated today – that there is cause for celebration – is being done maybe in a more subtle fashion, rather than bluntly in your face. Regardless, it is still Truth and can be taken to heart.
Emerald too has such great meanings and healings to it. It is known as a stone of inspiration, enhancing unity and ensuring equilibrium. However, emerald is also known to help in overcoming life’s misfortunes as a stone of regeneration and recovery, which ties in more closely with the card of Discontent and Boredom. What stands out for me is that even though this person is walking away from the light with fatigue and unhappiness clear in his features, the rays on the floor still make up another rainbow, suggesting that even in the darker times, there are still gifts and joys to be experienced if you turn around and look more carefully rather than moving blindly onward.
So there you have it. Today, two stones and two cards wanted to play, each with their respective rainbows. It looks like today is all about holding onto Hope and the promise of celebrations to enjoy now and to come. I don’t think I can complain about that now, can I?
