Are you ready to take a journey? Even if it’s not a journey you particularly wish to take? Or a journey that may lead you into the unknown?
Today, we’re invited to deal specifically with our emotions through Blue Apatite. Apatite itself is very inspirational as a stone of manifestation. It is attuned with the future, yet connects to past lives. Psychologically, it increases motivation and builds up energy reserves. Apatite stimulates creativity and intellect.
Blue Apatite connects to a very high level of spiritual guidance, opens the throat chakra, and heals the heart and emotional dis-ease. It is a teaching and teacher’s stone, and Blue Apatite aids in bringing clarity of mind and expansion of insights, and is especially helpful when diligent study is needed to uncover the truth.
That truth we are seeking will be found in our emotions thoughts surrounding those emotions, especially those feelings that have been long suppressed or neglected. This spiritual journey we are undertaking will allow us the opportunity to resolve many of these issues that show up in our lives as unhelpful patterns or thought processes.
For example, there may be the realization that anytime a specific individual contacts you – calls, texts, emails – you find your heart sinking. You don’t want to pick up the phone and ignore it, not particularly because of any one thing that person did. It may have been a series of instances. Mentally, you may be ready to move on, either by distancing yourself from the individual and cutting all ties or mentally telling yourself you’ll call the person back or see them when you’re ready. There are also other options too, of course.
But the invitation here is to check in on the emotions tying you to that person. Why the sadness and heart sinking? What did that person do that you’ve taken on personally? What is it about your reaction to the other individual that makes you sad?
Our emotions are all very fluid and change with time. The challenge is to go with the emotions, ride the feelings both in the highs and lows, rather than shutting them away and suppressing them. Pent up emotional energy, if left unattended to, builds up as a lot of mental and physical stress. Over time, this may lead to dis-ease of mind and body.
We are here on this earth to explore and live life as it is, fully and deeply. To remind us of how to do that, watch a bunch of little kids playing on the playground, or a litter of puppies playing in a field. There’s play, there’s fighting and arguments, there’s apologies, and quick moving on to the next task. Our emotions enrich our lives when we are living in the now and being mindful of the present. There’s nothing wrong with that, right?
