In a world that’s being flipped around – where traditional beliefs and ideals are seemingly being brought to light in an oddly violent fashion as people begin standing up for rights that have been long suppressed – where neighbor goes against neighbor, friend strikes against friend, family members fall apart or finally unite as one – where old and new diseases are affecting or changing the lives of those around us – where catastrophe never seems to end, and where change is happening at a much more rapid pace than most of us are used to… It says something if you can hang onto hope.
Today, Moss Agate comes to help you connect to your heart and heal some of the recent onslaught it has been experiencing as of late. I invite you to stretch a moment before settling back in your seat, your bed – wherever you are for the moment – and gently close your eyes.
Notice your breathing. Feel the rush of air as it comes into you with each inhale and the warm outflow as it leaves you with your exhale. Another breath in and out. And another in and out. And on the next inhale, follow that air as it goes into you and imagine it going straight to your heart center. Spend a moment here to get your bearings – what do you see? Are there any distinct figures or shapes nearby? What colors or lights surround you here? And if you see nothing at all, that’s okay too.
For now, breathe in again, and allow that breath to coalesce into a mossy green light. With each breath in, that light begins to grow and expand and fill your heart center space. Allow this green light energy to seek out all the hurts, pains, sorrows, shadows that have taken up space in your heart center and gently, lovingly transmute these into light. It reaches each ache, surrounds it in embrace, enfolds it entirely in safety, and then changes it into peace. Allow this process to continue for a few minutes here until your heart center is completely awash in green light.
When you’re ready, you can begin drawing yourself back to the present, back to your room and surroundings. Witness your breath in and out a few more times before slowly, gently, opening your eyes.
Know that you’ve given your heart a new life today. In embracing and and allowing light and joy to reside, you can move forward the rest of your day and weeks being better capable of cultivating Hope in your life and the lives of those around you. Come back to this meditation as you need. I pray you have peace and light in your world today and always.
